Ravens cornerback Cary Williams returned to practice Monday morning after serving a two-game suspension from the NFL.
Williams was not allowed to be at the Ravens’ training facility in Owings Mills, Md. since Sept. 6. Before he left, Williams said he didn’t plan on leaving the area and would work out at his house.
Ravens Head Coach John Harbaugh was confident that Williams would be able to jump back into the mix after the layoff.
“We’ll get him in meetings and get him back on track,” Harbaugh said. “He went through all of training camp and the whole offseason, so I don’t think he’ll need too much. It was good to see his face.”
Williams, who notched two interceptions in the Ravens’ first two preseason games, now finds himself in a deeper cast of cornerbacks. Behind starters Fabian Washington and Chris Carr, the Ravens can also line up Lardarius Webb and Josh Wilson outside.
The Ravens have until 4 p.m. Tuesday to make a roster decision and trim the roster back down to 53.
